eLien & Title

In April of 2014, eDS began working with the State of North Carolina on implementing an Electronic Lien and Title system (ELT). The ELT program was legislated in 2013 under SB407 and ratified under HB1133 and allows for the electronic exchange of title information between the State and leinholders.

Mandatory participation in the program began on July 01, 2016 and requires all lenders filing 5 or more liens in a calendar year to participate. eDealer Services anticipates that the NC ELT single gateway solution will process approximately two million transactions annually and service over 7,000 lenders.

Participating lenders send and receive lien information through an approved Service Provider. eDealer currently works with seven national service providers for North Carolina ELT.
